🔎 Role Summary
The Project Advisor Consultant will provide high-level strategic and technical support to ensure the successful establishment and operational readiness of UNICEF’s Centers of Excellence (CoEs). This role supports risk management, operational planning, financial oversight, and knowledge transfer across multiple global teams. The consultant’s expertise will directly strengthen the organization’s ability to manage grants, implement programs, and maintain robust internal controls.

📘 Key Responsibilities
- Advise senior leadership on strategic risks, opportunities, and readiness of CoE locations.
- Coordinate the development and updating of project risk registers and mitigation actions.
- Support operational readiness assessments, including logistics, planning, and administrative processes.
- Review financial plans and provide insights to strengthen financial and grant management systems.
- Lead contributions to knowledge transfer, training mechanisms, and program design improvements.
- Prepare monthly advisory reports highlighting progress, risks, and recommendations.
- Engage in cross-team collaboration to ensure alignment with UNICEF strategic priorities.
🎓 Required Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Organizational Development, or International Development.
- A Bachelor’s degree may be considered with additional professional experience.
Experience:
- At least 15 years in strategic planning, RBM, and rights-based programming.
- Proven senior-level experience with global organizations, preferably within the UN/UNICEF.
- Strong expertise in project and change management.
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
Language:
- Proficiency in English required.
