UNICEF ECARO Hiring Knowledge Management Support Volunteer (Online) | 2025 | Contribute to Child Health Impact Across Europe & Central Asia

UNICEF Europe and Central Asia Regional Office (ECARO) is seeking a Knowledge Management Support Volunteer for an online, part-time (16–20 hrs/week) role based in Switzerland with a 12-week duration. Volunteers passionate about public health, knowledge management, and child-centred development are encouraged to apply by 27 November 2025. This opportunity plays a key role in strengthening evidence-driven health initiatives that support UNICEF’s mission to improve child well-being across the region.

🎯 Role Summary

The volunteer will support UNICEF ECARO’s Health Section in strengthening evidence, visibility, and communication related to child health and essential services across the Europe and Central Asia region. The role includes developing knowledge products, supporting advocacy materials, coordinating with country offices, and translating complex public health concepts into clear, impactful communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and design of country health profiles and success stories.
  • Coordinate with UNICEF Country Offices to collect information, drafts, and content.
  • Review and edit materials before submission to designers and editors.
  • Support the creation of visual content such as graphics, photos, and simplified data presentations.
  • Ensure all profiles and stories are published on internal and external platforms.
  • Collaborate with the ECARO Communications team to enhance visibility of health initiatives.
  • Assist in advocacy and partnership-building tasks to strengthen communication on child health systems.

🎓 Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Advanced degree preferred in: International Development, Public Policy, Public Health, Medicine, Early Childhood Development, Psychology, or related fields.

Experience:

  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with public health and socio-economic issues in the ECA region.
  • Experience working with UNICEF ECA region is a strong asset.

Language:

  • Fluent professional English (required).
