🎯 Role Summary
The Project Support and Monitoring Analyst will design, implement, and manage the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) system for UNFPA’s Japan-funded project in Cameroon. This role ensures accurate performance tracking, evidence-based reporting, and knowledge sharing to strengthen gender-based violence (GBV) and sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services. The position provides hands-on experience in humanitarian program monitoring, field engagement, and donor liaison.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive MEL framework aligned with UNFPA and donor requirements.
  • Oversee data collection, validation, and quality assurance across project sites.
  • Conduct field visits to monitor implementation and engage with beneficiaries and stakeholders.
  • Support capacity-building sessions for staff and partners in M&E practices.
  • Facilitate donor engagement and visibility, particularly with the Embassy of Japan.
  • Ensure compliance with UNFPA standards, ethical practices, and results-based management.
  • Document lessons learned and contribute to knowledge management initiatives.

🎓 Required Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Statistics, Public Health, Demography, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Monitoring & Evaluation, or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree with 2 additional years of relevant experience may be accepted.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in monitoring, evaluation, research, or reporting in development, humanitarian, or health-related programs; GBV/SRH experience preferred.
  • Languages: English (Fluent, Required), French (Working knowledge, Desirable)
