🎯 Role Summary

The Communication and Outreach Programme Assistant will provide vital administrative and communication support to ensure the successful implementation of public relations campaigns, publications, and digital communication activities. Working under the Communication and Outreach Programme Expert, the incumbent will help strengthen UPU’s outreach efforts, enhance stakeholder engagement, and contribute to the organization’s visibility and impact worldwide.


🧩 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily communications and respond to inquiries from official UPU communication channels.
  • Coordinate publications and website content, including translations, formatting, and uploads.
  • Support budget preparation, billing, and expenditure tracking for communication-related activities.
  • Assist in managing social media content, newsletters, and digital campaigns.
  • Coordinate logistics for international events such as World Post Day and the International Letter-Writing Competition.
  • Maintain communication databases and ensure accurate archiving of correspondence.
  • Assist with visual content creation (graphics, photos, and videos) using tools like Canva and Adobe Suite.

🎓 Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Completion of secondary-level education with commercial, secretarial, or PA training.

Experience:

  • At least 4 years of experience in administrative and communication support.
  • Experience in an international environment is desirable.

Language:

  • English (Advanced – UN Level III) required.
  • French (Intermediate – UN Level II) desirable.
