🎯 Role Summary

The Knowledge Management Volunteer will assist the Health Section at UNICEF ECARO in developing engaging, evidence-based materials that enhance awareness and understanding of child health issues across Europe and Central Asia. The volunteer will help compile country profiles, success stories, and advocacy materials that demonstrate UNICEF’s impact in child health and nutrition. This role supports UNICEF’s broader mission of ensuring equitable health systems and improving health outcomes for all children, especially the most vulnerable.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of Country Profiles and success stories on child health and nutrition.
  • Research and compile health-related data and best practices across UNICEF’s country offices.
  • Collaborate with communication teams to publish profiles and visuals on UNICEF platforms.
  • Develop engaging content and visual materials to promote UNICEF’s regional health work.
  • Ensure materials reflect UNICEF’s brand standards and are optimized for advocacy and communication impact.
  • Support in collecting partner feedback and refining knowledge products for dissemination.
  • Promote visibility and awareness of UNICEF ECARO’s work through data-driven storytelling.

🎓 Required Qualifications

  • Education: Advanced degree (or enrollment) in Public Health, International Development, Public Policy, Medicine, or related fields.
  • Experience: Strong research, analytical, and writing skills. Prior experience in UNICEF’s ECA region or public health advocacy is an advantage.
  • Language: Fluency in English required; knowledge of another UN language (French, Russian, or Spanish) is an asset.
