  • Must be a citizen of an ADB borrowing member and Japanese ODA-eligible country.
  • Must not hold dual citizenship in any developed country.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with an excellent academic record.
  • Have at least two years of full-time professional work experience.
  • Be proficient in English (oral and written).
  • Be under 35 years old at the time of application (exceptions possible).
  • Be in good health.
  • Agree to return to and work in your home country for at least two years after completing studies.
  • Must not be staff or relatives of ADB, partner institutions, or the Government of Japan.
  • Must not already be enrolled in a graduate program.
